« Nations Cup - 2009»
Objectives.
Task of tournament:
- practice of national teams before the World championship 2010;
- determination of the best teams and players;
- experience exchange, improvement of skill level of players and tactics of the game;
- perfection of players craftsmanship;
- reinforcement of friendly relations between countries and regions.
Conditions and rules of the Cup
Teams should submit the application to founders in order to participate the Cup.Application should be published in this forum thread. Form of application is not strictly pre-determined (may be in free form).
Team might announce for the Cup 10 (ten) + not limited number of reserve players. Rotation of players within teams of the country is allowed.
Captain might choose any of announced team players to participate the game.
Cup starts at Thursday, 17th December, 2009. Time – 21:00, Moscow time.
There are two stages:
- preliminary (group);
- play-off.
Preliminary stage is standard round-robin competition in groups.
Every round at preliminary stage contains four consecutive games – 2x30 and 2x15 minutes on the same host (receiving party). Teams members – not more than 10 players. Substitutes are allowed in breaks between the games.
Tasks for all rounds on preliminary stage are the same for all teams and are published by the arbiter before the Cup.
The winner is determined in every game.
- for win in 30 minutes game – 2 pts, draw – 1 pt, lose – 0 pts;
- for win in 15 minutes game – 1 pt, draw – 0,5 pts, lose – 0 pts;
The game points are given following way: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 pts for places from 1 to 8, the biggest fish is rewarded with 1 additional point. Winner is determined by the biggest sum of points (same for the group and play-off stages).
Play-off games are played on two hosts (“owners” and “visitors”).
So, every team publish their tasks for 30 and 15 minutes games in game chat before the game. Team is prohibited to order same location twice. Mode of the game has no specific restrictions.

Seeding of the Cup is depending on the number of applications. Then the Cup schedule will be composed. Applications deadline - till 12.00 Moscow time, 16th, December, 2009.
The founders of the Cup have honor to invite the following teams to participate in the competition:
Russia – 1 , Russia – 2, Ukraine – 1, Ukraine – 2, Belarus, Norway, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Dream Team and other national teams, which could submit applications in time.
