I'd like to inform you, that we have started the creation of 0.7 version of the game.

What already have been done?
-Few more baits (different colours of power bait, triple-hook etc)
-Power-line graphics object

What is planned to be done?

1) High resolution
2) Account creation (save/load)
3) More voices
4) More fish species
5) New rods
6) New lakes
7) Working depth effect (will not work 100%, but it will show the depth/lure sinking differences.. but fishes will not move 3d yet in lake).

If we have enough time, then:

Multiplayer team-match feature
9) Multiplayer tournaments
10) Multiplayer team-tournaments

Approximated release date.. Hard to say, but lets think about nov-dec 2008.

hmm... Got to say "maybe", because official decisions are not made yet.

I am almost sure, that it wont be available in the next release. The reason is that creation of "night effect" takes so much time. It is not only the fish, it is also the effect. AND it also needs one more new rod.

Strange, because I have received reports, that says 0.6 works better with Wine than 0.55 (because of that maggot-bug has been fixed).  There might be some problems with windowed mode, which are told to be bugs of Wine (not Pp2), so you cant use it. Game works better/only in full screen mode.

Will there be any walleye in the game?

Maybe later.. and not for sure. It will need good "sea" places, where walleye is more common catch.

The most important thing of this account thing is to link it into multiplayer matches. Team tags etc also added into this account (and nationality etc..).

That experience collecting is not going to be released yet.. but it is planned to be available "like in career mode", so you have a calender and then you just take a time for practicing.. and then to competitions etc.. It is open still, how exp gaining and multiplayer games will be matched with each other.

One more question regarding account thing. What kind of lures will be possible to choose when I will start campaign mode? Only default lures or there will be some more chances to take other lures (except best ones). And if I will win some lure during campaign and pike will snap the line with this lure, lure will lose forever or in next lake this lure will be again in my box? And how about default lures if these lures will be snapped by pike? I hope not so more questions from my side

Sorry, but we will not release MAC version in the nearest future. Linux version is higher priority, but even that is not in our "job to list" yet. It is planned to be published someday, but we dont know when.

Sorry, that I have been so busy. I havent update news for weeks/months!

But.. We have very nicely working beta-version with many new features.. like:
-Depth
-New rod
-4 new species
-3 new lakes
-Anti hotspots
-Updated old lakes (species, anti-hotspots)
etc etc..

Now we are working with account creation. After this is completed and tested, then the game is ready to be published. IT is planned to be during December. Let's see, is it impossible or not.

Updates are mostly to "increase amounts of fishes". Only in some cases some decreases have been made. "Good lakes" are mostly untouched. Largest changes are in Hossalaislammet and Haapolahti.
